Our Mission Statement

The School of Management dedicated to the pursuit of academic excellence. It aims to provide students in the Calumet region with business programs that develop a strong foundation for successful employment and opportunities for advancement in a rapidly changing global environment. As an educational leader and community partner, the School of Management is committed to meeting the life-long business learning needs of people in the region and beyond.

The faculty of the School of Management is primarily committed to the advancement of student learning. In their roles as teachers, academic advisors, scholars, and mentors, members of the faculty are dedicated to providing the highest quality learning experience for students in a climate that will nurture and allow their talents to bloom. Excellence in teaching is of paramount importance. To that end, the School of Management encourages the faculty to engage in scholarship activities that complement its educational programs.

The undergraduate programs in the School of Management enable students to earn associate and baccalaureate degrees in business and management. Graduate programs provide students with an opportunity to earn a Master of Business Administration and Master of Accountancy degrees.

Consistent with the mission of the University, the School of Management is committed to the objective of continuous quality improvement. The Faculty believes in the value of periodic assessment and consequent enhancement of its business programs.

In addition to its curricular mission, the School of Management engages in community outreach activities through its Entrepreneurship Center, the Center for International Research and Education, the Center for International Development Programs, and the Center for Executive Education.
