A Message from the Director

We have begun reviewing FAFSAs for students who have released their FAFSA data to Purdue University Calumet for the 2010-2011 academic year.

In an effort to protect valuable resources, and we are moving from paper to strictly electronic communications.

Therefore, on a DAILY basis, students should do the following:

  • Check your personal email (as provided by you on your FAFSA), and your PUC email, for important messages from our office.
  • Check PCSTAR (Purdue Calumet Student Access to Records) for important messages and to review any documents that may be required from you at this time. To access PCSTAR from the Purdue University Calumet home page (http://www.calumet.purdue.edu), click on Start Here and select the PC STAR icon.
  • To access your Financial Aid information:
    • On the PCSTAR Main Menu, click on Student Services & Financial Aid.
    • On the Student Services & Financial Aid Menu, click on Financial Aid.
    • On the Financial Aid Menu, click on Overall Status of Financial Aid.
    • Select the 2010-11 aid year.
    • Select Student Requirements.
      • The Student Requirements tab lets you view documents or information required from you.
      • Select the Requirement Messages tab to view important messages to you from the Office of Financial Aid.
      • Select the Holds tab to view any Financial Aid holds currently existing on your account.
      • Select the Academic Progress tab to review your current status. If your status is Probationary you are at risk of losing your aid eligibility. If your status is Ineligible you are currently not eligible to receive financial aid and may submit an Appeal available at http://www.calumet.purdue.edu/finaid/SAPAPPEAL.pdf.

It's time to file your 2010-2011 FAFSA!

File your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) by the priority filing deadline of March 10, 2010 to be considered for the most amount of financial assistance. Be sure to include Purdue University Calumet on the list to receive your FAFSA information. Our school code is 001827.

File your FAFSA online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/.
